This wasn't part of the Beadon back pack either in Tropical or Arctic configuration. I don't have any notes on the contents of the suit itself though, however the Stores reference number makes it slightly post war.

Strangely enough i have the line, trace & hooks which were part of the contents of the tropical pack on ebay at the moment, rare items & essential if you're looking to complete a WWII pack!!

According to Mick Prodgers list, there were matches issued with the Beadon Suit.

I have a couple of those somewhere, Anchor Supplies at Ripley had a binfull of them at a few pence each a few years ago, next to another binfull of WWII-dated .30 cal go/no-go gauges for the same price (labelled as being "ideal for turning down as centre-punches").

Looking through AP's these seem to appear in the 1950's - often in 'Aircraft Stowage Compartments' with the proviso 'cigarettes should only be included if space permits'. I've posted the Beadon suit contents before and they don't show up there. While I have the AP's out, here's some other 27P listings (Emergency & Special Rations) for future reference:

27P/7 Rations, emergency flying, Mk 2
27P/8 Water, canned
27P/9 Tablets, vitamin B.1
27P/10 Milk, condensed, sweetened
27P/11 Cigarettes, tins of 27
27P/12 Soup
27P/14 Mosquito repellant, Sketofax
27P/15 Rations, emergency, type P
27P/16 Water purifying tablets, Halozone
27P/19 Rations, emergency flying, Mk 3
27P/20 Rations, type B
27P/22 Cigarettes, tubes of 7
27P/25 Rations, emergency flying, Mk 4
27P/26 Condensed milk
27P/27 Rations, emergency, Mk 5, universal component
27P/28 Rations, emergency, Mk 5, Box B
27P/36 Rations, emergency, Mk 7
27P/37 Rations, emergency, Mk 8
27P/38 Rations, emergency, Mk 9

Can anyone fill in the blanks? I've lost my early reference sheet which included the Mk 1 rations - which I think was 27P/5 but I'm not sure.
