Information Request!

I'm trying to obtain information on Flight Lieutenant G. Harry Avery (Military Cross) of the RCAF. He served with the British Combined Operations in S.E.Asia with the S.R.U. (Sea Reconnaissance Unit)which was part of the Special Operations Group as part of South East Asia Command- SEAC which was based in Ceylon circa 1944-45.

I'm trying to find any photographs of old newspaper clippings on him?

If anyone might know something about him, I'd appreciate any info regarding him.

Thank you!

Christopher

F/Lt George Henry Avery (Service No.CanC12166) RCAF had his Military Cross award listed in the London Gazette on 28.8.1945 on page 4341 and was attached to 5th Inf/Brigade.

Only 5 Military Crosses were awarded to the RCAF during WW2.

Hope this helps.
