Hi filip!
....yes, there are differences in foot drill & ceremonial drill for the 'then' and 'now' periods! Drill has evolved over time, and none more so than when a new rifle is introduced into service as the manuals have to be amended!
All personnel would have been taught drill for that particular period, along with rifle drill (303), until the introduction of the 7.62mm SLR which needed a new form of amended drill movements, and this has changed again with the 5.56mm SA80 rifle (now called 'the rifle')which has seen yet more changes!
Ideally, if you can obtain or borrow a manual on foot drill and ceremonial drill for the period you are interested in, you will see the differences. Practise is what's needed to 'get it right'.

Hope this helps,

tim

Thank you Tim. This time I´m more interested in "basic" drill - saluting, marching, mainly without rifle. Unfortunately correct WW2 drill was sold for more money I would pay for it....Thank you..

Filip

I did have a wartime RAF Drill pamphlet. If I still have it I can copy it for you and send it in the post, or probably easier, scan it for you and send it to you by email.

Btw.: and what about differencies between AP 818 A and ACP19_AL2? Second document is for Air Training Corps and I found information, that ACP19_AL2 is based on AP 818 A, but I don´t know differencies between it...ACP19_AL2 is possible to find on internet in pdf

This is the same manual I have (if I still have it) so no need to bid unless you want the actual thing.

Do you have the ATC drill manual you mention?
