The ones I have are really top notch. They have the saddle stitch vamp, the right materials and the right look and feel.
I get many compliments when flying with them. Don't let these get away. You will not be disappointed!

Cheers, Toine

BTW; I have no relation to the seller!

They do look good, but in my opinion, if these reach £500, they will not only be way overpriced (of a similar value to an original pair) but a private purchase pair could be bought in this size for a considerably smaller amount.

They look beautiful, and I'm sure some may believe that, as one offs, they are worth every-penny, but do you all feel that if they sold for £500 that is money well spent?

A cracking pair of boots though; can they be faulted?

You're hitting the nail on the head, Ben!
That is exactly the reason why only two were ever made: not economically viable.

Can they be faulted? If pushed, I'd say on my boots the heel is a tad too high and the work on the vamp would probably improve just a little as experience would grow.
Still a super pair of boots if they stay well below GBP 500.

Cheers, Toine

With size 7 feet, I have better luck with originals

Having said that, I am still looking for a small pair of flying boot. If anyone has a pair that are too small and they want to surplus, I would be willing to discuss.

Cheers,

Bob

I have a pair of New Zealand 36 pattern boots that might be of interest. They look almost identical to the RAF type. I think they are a uk size 7 or 8, certianly too small for me and I have a size 9 foot.
Click on my name if you are interest and send me an email off forum.
Cheers,

I also have a pair of size 7 36 patterns. Mine are the private purchase RAF type, but are totally mint. You will not find a better pair!

I have never really looked to sell them, but I am open to offers. If the money is right, you never know.

I'm selling a pair on ebay at the mo. Link on main page.

Nice repro's but don't think they'll keep their value as originals, but if you only want them for reenactment...
