Dear all,

Following our first proper WW2 avtiation re-enactment event in Holland last May (see;http://www.network54.com/Forum/180748/t ... cess%21> the Allied Air Forces Europe group has again been invited to set up a display at the next event on september 1-2. During the weekend there will be a major airshow with many classic and WW2 aircraft. On saturday evenening one of the hangers will be transformed in to a dance hall, with Bill Bakers Big band as main act. These guys do a very good job at playing Glenn Millers music, and some of you might have seen them at Twinnwoods last year.
I would like to invite you to come and join us, and see what aviation re-enactment on this side of the drink is like! There is no cost for participation, and all meals and facilities are taken care of by the museum. So hop on a cheap EasyJet flight to Amsterdam, and join us for the weekend.

Martin.

That's fantastic! There is nothing I love more than bringing two of my hobbies together....WW2 re-enacting and swing dancing/lindy hop.
If I was in the area I would most definately come out. Hopefully some of the lovely ladies in your locale can seriously cut a rug.
Cheers,
Dean

Hi Martin,
Sounds like a 'jolly wheez'.
Is there any cheap bed and breakfast places in the area or is there one of your chaps who could put up a fellow 'chap' for the weekend please?.Please e-mail off forum if needed.
Many thanks
Howard.

Hi Howard,

accommodation is not an issue, as saturdaynight we will sleep in the officers mess. Not much luxury, but dry, warm, and most important, free! I can take care of some extra bunks if needed.

Martin.

I guess the only way for you to find out about the local ladies, is to come over and see for yourself! I couldn't do that for you anyway, as i am not only married, I have a little daughter too....
