Hello ! It'is annoying to leave Tapatalk to watch a video of Youtube (a link in a message) and to have to close and to go again to the Tapatalk Network to return where the forum is. The Youtube BBcode does'nt work on Tapatalk. There is the message : "Sorry, no content"
Hi Nully, Thanks for you finger it out. One thing I am interesting is how your guys define the BBCODE for vedio. I can not find default BBcode for vedio or youtube from vbulletin's BBcode manager. All forums use the same BBcode for vedio? Or each one define their own? Thanks Yao
I'd say most forums I've seen define it themselves or through a small app. Some of the more popular ones are what we use...the name escapes me @ the moment.
Hello, Once the YouTube BBcode for phpBB3 is placed, the link is what is after v= [youtube]qObhmS8zX8M[/youtube] and the video appears on the post. With Tapatalk, it is possible of course to see the video if the complete address is indicated, but you go to Safari and "loose" the forum where you were :-( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qObhmS8zX8M On the other hand, this is an example of the translation to be corrected. In this case, instead of "No content", it would be better to say something like "Sorry, this application doesn't work".
Simply put, the iPhone architecture allows for you to view a page in safari, and then a video, it will pop up the youtube player, and when you select done, it goes back to the safari mode. The items are already there, just need to make them work together.
With a pop up it will be ok. In this case for the phpBB3 forum's owner it will be necessary to write the both links : the BBcode AND the complete address. Cheers
Can you guys give us few examples of YouTube link that appear in your respective forums? We will use those as test case to fine-tune the screen. The more the merrier
Are you asking what appears on the forum as I browse w/the app? If so, it just shows the link/url to the video, no code associated with it. We are using the AME mod currently.

I don't quite understand what's the problem is, right now we stripped the BBCode including code like [ame] etc, and the url should become "clickable" so YouTube player will appear? Or it doesn't?
Here a link with a video YouTube from my computer : http://www.bulgaria-france.net/salon/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=3112 On the iPhone I see only the text. An other link from computer : http://www.bulgaria-france.net/salon/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=4228 where I indicated the complete address and the BBcode On iPhone there is only the address. To see it I have to go to Safari and cannot go back to my forum.
It does understand the code, and allows you to click it BUT it won't do it w/in the confines of tapatalk. It will load safari, and view the video, but when you are done, you have to reopen tapatalk, and go back into your forums from scratch, which obviously isn't the fastests way. What I'm suggesting is that it load the youtube player w/in tapatalk like other apps I've seen. For example the NASA app, or discovery or 2 that come to mind. It plays a video and then when you hit done, it's right back to the app, no reloading the entire thing.
