Hi, I've been using Tapatalk for a little while, and all has been running smoothly until I got version 1.0.8. (note that I didn't really get much chance to use 1.0.6 and 1.0.7 before new versions came out so the problem may have been resident in them too!) Now, when I browse either of the forums I use (SaintsReport.com and AVForums.com) scrolling through the list of threads in a forum is very, very slow. Scrolling when you are already in a thread, rading the contenct is fine. Scrolling the "latest" section (which opens automatically when you choose a site to browse) is fine. But scrolling in any sub forum which containts threads is not. I have tried on SainsReport (logged in) and AVForums (logged out) and the problem exists on both so it doesn't appear to be forum specific. What I mean by "contains threads" is that the op level for each forum, where there is only a list of forums, but no threads, also works fine! It's just when you are on a "page" that shows a series of thread headers/beginnings of posts that I have a problem. I am running an HTC Hero running Android 1.5 with the Modaco Custom ROM (hero.modaco.com). Though this ROM can only be installed if you're rooted, and has some customisations, I've not had this before with this ROM so I *don't think* it's the ROM to blame. Thanks, James
Yao can you look into this? This is completely new to us. Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk Beta
My gut feeling is I can't think of any issue with the "hybrid" sub-forum (where it contains children sub-forums and also a list of threads). But we will look into it. Yao also found a possible reason but maybe unrelated. Can you try to test it further - but this time do not open the "Who's Online" view and see if things improve?
