Yes. Once gold is released today, I'm going to jump on board. So I'll be w/o the app until a new version is released...just when it started to work again.
Figured I'd jump in head first instead of sitting around waiting. I've followed the betas and down practice installs, so I was ready. I'll just miss tapatalk, I figured you guys would have had something lined up.
Hello.. I can't wait for this to be out for vB 4.0. I'm purchasing the publishing suite 4.0 for my forum (which i purchased recently). Currently i'm running phpBB2, so it'll be a good feature to have once I upgrade to vB. Is the Blackberry app available yet?
We have just started internal testing of vb4 Tapatalk Plugin and we aim to release it as beta in first week of January. Stay tuned.
I'm interested in this but I'll test it on a test board before I put it on my live forum. Ive got a VB4.0PL1 Forum. I believe the VB4 is pretty good, got its shortcomings but when they are overcome those, it will be pretty good.
Its biggest problem is the total inability to create a new style and deny members to toggle between them. As soon as you turn off their ability to select styles the new style reverts to default. Trap is the machine that creates the style still sees the new style because it caches the new style in the original machine........you only realise this when you view the forum from another machine. The CSS is too close, if you select a background colour for instance, that background colour goes across the suite so when you change a style you need to ensure that font colours are readable across the suite. The smiles are all screwed up. There are functions that aren't hard coded in the software.......daily posts button for instance is absent, easy enough to to add the code, but should you have too?, I would have thought that would be a fundamental requirement. The CMS is pretty functional and you can get it looking pretty good. Just wish the CSS were independent of the forum. In all its a pretty good product, my forum has 250000 posts and it is much faster now than v3. Like I said, I reckon they will fix the issues and I have no regrets upgrading.
