I just downloaded Tapatalk for the iPhone less than 30 minutes ago, and it's already crashed twice. Once while browsing BigBlueBall and again while browsing the Tapatalk forums. I'm going to power down and restart my iPhone to see if that helps, but I was wondering if there are factors that influence crashing (i.e. size of the forums?).
I have a big board (over 2M posts) and the overall behavior is the same as with this forum. Every time I turn the phone off and on it works well for a few sessions, then starts hanging and eventually crashing. It was the same behavior as with 1.4 and with 1.3 although now with 1.5 the crashes seem more spaced. It looks like there's something that builds up during normal use of the phone, some kind of "trash", something the app starts having trouble with until it just won't boot anymore, crashing at launch. Hope this helps.
Excellent observation Dennis, yes we suspect of this "trashing" issues and in 1.5.2 we added some spring cleaning so no more old trash in the app (hopefully), this is really hard to debug as we cannot reproduce the same environment as the app-store app update. Check out my other post regarding the 1.5.2
