Hi, Installed the mod on the forum and got a few members of staff to test it suing iPhone, S60 and Blackberry devices and all came back saying that it was great, except that none of the forum usergroup restrictions worked - i.e. guests could access areas of the forum that they shouldn't be allowed to, the same with other usergroups that are restricted to certain forum areas, they could access everything. I'm running SMF 1.1.11, but have had to uninstal the forum mod due to this security flaw. Is this a known issue to be fixed in a more stable release? I hope so as other than this it looked fantastic and so much easier to use than trying to fit the forum on a mobile device browser screen!
Hey this would be a real issue for us.. we will try to fix it and see how it goes. If necessary I will email you personally to follow it up so it will work in your forum.
Hi Guys I run a busy forum & a few members are badgering me to get this up & running I'm running SMF 2.0 RC3, Are there any security concerns like the post above Also I couldn't find a working demo on your site Do you have one? as it would be nice to see before I install your mod on my forum Also (sorry if I've missed this) I'm a SMF member & have never seen this on the SMF MOD release section so it might be worth having a word with them
The above issue was because of a third-party MOD that added additional security control that our plugin does not support. If you don't have any third party security plugin, Tapatalk should work well on your forum.
