if we have thousands of users sign up for your service at $2.99 a pop don't you think we should get a percentage of that? without us then you would have no users. i'm also interested in the white label thing. let me know because this will save us time having to create our own app. thanks.
well correct me if i'm wrong but we install it on our forum and then our members buy the app from you so they can use all of it's functionality, right? well not only do we have a few hundred iphone/android users but so does many other vbulletin forums. we're essentially giving you your entire user base. am i also wrong when i say that if no vbulletin sites use your app you get zero $? we're your marketers more or less. when we make sales for people that advertise on our site we get a percentage or a cpc... this is very similar because we're making you sales.
i was wondering how u urself would bring thousands of users by ur froum alone. im a forum owner myself. im not in anyway apart of the tapatalk team besides being an avid supporter of the app. with that being said anything i say is not a reflection of their thoughts. but i think ur being completely ridiculous in expecting a share of the the profits. the app damn near markets it self. it gets better with each upgrade. i mean they in turn should be charging forum owners for providing easier more convenient means for your users to make your forum more active and successful. these guys work their asses of day in and day out on this app. and you expect to get a piece of the change cause u would bring a few hundred members. forget about how the app itself would increase traffic to ur site and maybe even drive up the membership. besides that's way to complicate do even attempt to do. how on earth would the app store keep track of peeps that purchase an app and what forum they got the app for. then you got to think about peeps who are on multiple forums on the tapatalk network. let these guys get payed something for their hard work. 2.99 an app and u trying to get a piece of the pie. the way u talking all forum owners should get a piece of the sells. then how on earth do they reap the benefits for their hard work.
bottom line, we make them money and without us they make no money. besides, making an affiliate program makes anything go viral faster. that's why most sites that sell anything use affiliates. they can make a small amount of money or make an affiliate program that will inspire big forum owners to market their product and make tons of sales. it's standard marketing and sales. for now i'll pass on opinions and wait for an actually employees response. thank you though.

how much money are u investing into the development of tapatalk? or for hosting even their site? or for providing support for the application? i think ur kinda in the hole on this one.... as i see it.. ur getting free advertisement by being listed in the app as well are u willing to pay for that as well? cause i mean that would only be fair right? kinda like asking Mozilla to pay you for providing an interface for people to be able to view your site via a PC
affiliate programs make sense when u got something that costs 50+ dollars. we talking about 2.99 as a forum owner u should understand opinions will come once you put it in black and white. nothing wrong with open dialogue u may say something to make a light go off in my head or others. how do u propose that tapatalk team share up 2.99 between multiple forums?

The trouble of affiliation is it doesn't work in iPhone app store, there are absolutely no way to track the purchase nor Apple provide a way to do so. There is iTunes affiliation program but unless you are a big publisher you will never get enrolled into their program (trust me, I tried it). I think Blackberry would work as you can distribute the app thru app store like mobihand.com, we can look into this when our berry app is ready. If you would like to rebrand your forum, you can contact us via email - that way you can sell it at whatever price you want
care to share more info about modzilla and chrome. i knew they had an affliate program to earn points but didn't know cash.
sorry, i shouldn't have said "idiots." that was rude. chrome has paid about 1.35 CPM to advertise on one of my sites. i'm not sure if they have a specific affiliate program that just anybody can sign up for. they still pay to people to market a free product. same with micros0ft IE and firefox.

agreed I agreed that there should be an affiliate option. I would happily advertise the app on my forum and site. Makes total sense. Yes, it'a great tool/app, but they would do well to set up an affiliate option. Obviously this is their option, but would make sense ALL around. We get $.10 a sale or so and they sell more apps. No brainer really. It is a valid question and having just setup my forum to allow tapatalk it was one of my first thoughts.
