SMF 2.0.x Reading messages in single private board

Running SMF 2.0 RC3, using .098 plugin, no installation errors.

When I get a listing the tapatalk client on Android, if I tap on any of the messages that in are public board, I can retrieve them and read them. Now even though the new posts display can read the topic in a private board, if I tap to retrieve, the application just hangs.

If it was a login/password issue, then I would never see the topics list in the private board.

OK, further diagnostics determines its not a board that is private issue. It looks to be a race condition. The topic in question happens to be about me introducing tapatalk to my other admins and the message uses the BBC code advertising message supplied from tapa. Once I removed the bbc code advertising in the topic, it worked fine.

THe first message of the topic that would display (its just goes into loop) if\s the sample BBC message promotional message supplied in the forum owners area.

If I remove that message in the topic, it works. With it there, once I select that topic, it then locks up.

Lets backup. The forum is smf 2.0 has only 1 mod installed (Simpleportal - which is the front page).

In THIS site in the forum owner section you have a sample promotional message we can dump into outr forums - the one that show screen shots of Iphone and Android client. That sample promtional message has BBC codes (IMG tags).

I have copied that message into my administration forum. When I try to retrieve THAT topic, tapatalk HANGS. If I go into that topic and remove that sample prmotional message that is part of that, I can retrieve that topic. Other topics with IMG tags works correctly and display the images.

I don't believe is a general BBC code issue, as your code seems to ignore them EXCEPT for IMG tags. So I was thinking maybe there is a race condiiton because the promotional message has http:// references back to here.
