Greetings. Last night, I installed tapatalk to my forums, which is based on SMF 1.1.11 and downloaded and install the tapatalk paid app for Android to my HTC incredible running on Android 2.1. So far, things have worked relatively well, but I sometimes run into the following errors; When trying to access the androidforums.com using tapatalk, when I hit the FORUMS tab, I often get a force close for the app. When trying to access my personal gaming forums, sometimes when I try to make a post, I get a message that says "unknown error... error code is2." Additionally, when reading my forums using the tapatalk app, it does not mark the forums I have read as read when I log in from a computer later. Any help with those issues would be greatly appreciated.
Are you using the latest version of the Tapatalk Android app which is 1.6.2 now I believe. It fixes some of the issues you mentioned here. Also we are going to release a totally rewritten SMF plugin for RC3 in next few days. We strongly suggest you to upgrade your forum to RC3 to enjoy bug fixes and new features as we move forward.
Hello! Thank you for the response! I was still on 1.6.1, and am downloading 1.6.2 as we speak. I will report back if any issues persist. As far as moving to SMF 2.0RC3, I do have plans to do that eventually, but my website is very popular and has many mods and it will take some planning for me to implement the upgrade. I am simply finding it hard to find time to do that right now. Thanks for your help!
Ok I am still getting the error code 2 on some threads, and it still isn't marking my forums as read. Perhaps the only solution is to upgrade my forums? Thoughts?
can you consistently reproduce the is2 error? For the rest of the issues we highly recommend you to upgrade your forum to RC3.
Consitently on certain threads, yes. There are a couple of threads, that it happens everytime. It seems as if though it either always does it, or always does not do it, depending on the thread.
Well I just went ahead and upgraded to 2.0RC3 and everything seems to be working fine now. I will report back if I do encounter any issues! Thanks for the advice!!!!
