Hello. I'm trying to make it so some forums are accessible through this iPhone application, but I'm afraid the directions haven't been much help for me. If there is anyone who could give me a simple walk-through of what you're suppose to do it would be greatly appreciated. I have a forum in the "Publish Your Forum" area, but I'm not sure what to do next. I pressed "Verify Installation Status" and it says "Not Installed." Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and your help
Hi, If the Verify Installation says "Not Installed" it means you have not installed the plugin properly. Go to "Download and Install" tab on the upper left corner, there is an installation instruction. If you still have trouble please let us know.
I did try to download vBulletin at first, and then I tried phpBB, but I couldn't figure out what to do after that. The next set of instructions said: "Place the zip package at the root of your forum system." And I have no idea what that means, haha. I think that's the part I need help with. Also, I have a mac, does that effect which download I choose? I figured it wouldn't, since this is for the iPhone. Thanks again for your help!
Hi, Once you downloaded the zip package, you need to upload it to your server via FTP. You may want to place it in the directory where your forum .php files are located. Then you can telnet/ssh to your server, go to that directory and then unzip the package. If you don't have telnet/ssh access, you can first unzip the package in Mac, and then upload the entire "mobiquo" directory to your server.

Hm... it's really hard if you don't have FTP access? Can you check with your computer friends to see if they can do you a favor?
are u guys running php as ur forums? most php peeps do not have ftp access. well at least most that i know of.
Very Dissapointed Real nice response. Glad to see how helpfull you guys are on this Forum. I am currently running 4 Sites and have been for several years. You'll have to forgive my extreme ignorance but I do not know what it is. It's amazing I have gotten on as long as I have. Maybe if someone would at least offer up what it stands for I can research it on my own, since you guys aren't willing to help. Yeah I'm running PHPBB3 and the Tapatalk instructions say that it is supported. They also say it is quick and easy. Will anyone take the time to explain it to me?.. Hi, you can download the plugin, unzip the package, download the FTP client like "Filezilla", use the connection information provided by your hosting provider to login to your server using Filezilla, and drag the entire "mobiquo" directory (the folder itself) to where your forum installation is, then everything should be okay.
with a lot of php sites they don't have ftp access. this may be the case here tooslick4you you will have to connect who ever maintains your server and explain to them what you want to do. just give them the directions and they should know what to do. u may have to get ur own server and pay for it monthly if you want to use tapatalk though.
Do u have a Cpanel where u can upload files... An change ur sites settings? Who are u using as a host for ur site ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I took a look at that for you... With the way they have the site setup u would not e able to install tapatalk... They don't allow u access to their server They set everything up for u... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
and they probably wont add it. like i was saying early he probably going to need to start his site over on another server. nini had to do the same thing to use tapatalk.
With forummotion it is not able to be done, this is the reason i left them, u will have to have a different server for your php board
forumotion is a free site, i contacted them before and they cant change anything, you will need your own server and pay for the year or something like that then you will have total access via ftp and some server sites allow you to do it thru a cpanel without having to have an ftp
