I know you can turn off signatures under settings/tapatalk/sigs on-off. How about an option to turn off avatars as well, similar to sigs on-off. This would dramatically decrease load times for edge/3g users.
Are you sure you want to turn off the avastar? I thought they look really neat In any case it should not affect the performance too much as the app loads it in the background - unless you are concern of the bandwidth/data it costs onto your data plan. Perhaps a "Date Saving Mode" option where all the images are turn off?
I guess it could be helpful to turn off all of the artwork (or make pics require a click to load) for those that are stuck on Edge instead of 3G. I don't know that I would use it, but there is always going to be someone that will benefit from it.
Personally, I would rather have them on, so if the option is there, I probably won't use it until I am trapped in an "Edge" area, and with AT&T's crappy network, that seems to happen a lot. So truthfully, this is a good suggestion.
I like them too, but it they still have to load, and I feel if they weren't processed it would be a fair amount quicker.
Suggestions. #1. When replying to a new post and hitting submit it refreshes back to the first post of the topic. In VB it refreshes back to YOUR post. I believe it should follow the same procedure. #2. When selecting Latest Posts (great feature btw) it should automatically jump to the latest unread post, not default to the beginning of the post, then you have to select show latest post, an extra step for the user that is not needed imo.
