Hey all, I'm debating implementing Facebook Connect to our forum. I am trying to understand the benefits and challenges it my offer. I see for signup you can just use your Facebook account. That seems fairly cool, but does it offer any other advantage? Can they link straight to their profile on Facebook? What all can they do? Is it a headache to implement? Thanks for the help!
iFonz he is an expert on this topic and would be able to give you some insight. Without his constant push there would be no FBConnect in this forum
hahah @ being an expert on this. good one winter haha kingston if u do add one add this version http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=223555 the other version isn't supported by the creator. its not hard to implement at all. you have to set up something on facebook but the directions are straight foward. i like the app cause it advertises your forum to facebook friends of your members. it posts stories to your members wall. also id like to think that it keeps ur current members active because they recieve notifications when they recieve a pm, when someone replies to a thread they replied in, and when someone replies to a thread they created.
the idea got nixed by our other people. they want facebook to stay as far away from the forum as possible. haha.

because its free and there are users that love it also. in the end i as a forum owner and my goals i come out on top. haa

I found it useful here but am somewhat annoyed that since I used FB Connect to register on this forum, I can't login from Tapatalk.
one of the admins will have to do that for ya that was one of the reasons i stopped using this facebook mod. the other one doesn't do that.
