Let me start by saying, great app. I installed it for the vB forum I am admin on (pretty big board), and it's a great tool, and many users have already expressed how pleased they are with the app. For me personally... I have an android. When I close (not force close) the app, but navigate to another droid app, then come back to tapatalk, I have to re-enter my forum from the tapatalk home screen. I think it would be nice if it's possible to stay where I was before, and also - if there's a hotlink to the forum navigation from within a thread... Instead of having to go back, back, back, back - to get back to "bookmarks", "latest" "forums" - if you know what I mean?
Totally agree - there are still huge amount of room for improvement especially usability-wise. We thought about have the tabs at the top permanently but it seems take up too much space. And to answer your concerns, do you mean it's hard to exit the app? I usually just hit the "Home" hard-button to get to the android home screen. Alternatively we can add a "Home" menu button inside the thread view so you can quickly navigate back to the tabs (Latest, Forums, Bookmarks...) view. Would that solve at least half the problem? Thanks for this insight, we need more of this kind of feedback. Personally I am excited of this app as it allows a lot of flexibility to fine-tune to UI to make it really easy to hooping forums and being a post-whore.. on the go...
What about if the tabs are at the top of every page, and then when you scroll, they scroll too. So if you're viewing a thread, you still have the Navigation, but it scrolls up with the rest of the page. No - What I mean is. When you hit the "home button" and go away from it. Often when I click back on it (I made a link on my home screen) - I have to go to "Favorites" and navigate back into the forum from there. What I mean is... if the program isn't "force closed" then could it (should it) recall where you last were? Hey - I'm glad you're open to the feedback and suggestions. So far, our forum users with iphones and droids love it, and I've had a few ask when the BB version will be ready.
+1... I think this would be a HUGE improvement. I hate when i'm browsing, then leave the app to go do something else, and when I come back, I have to go to favorites.. forumname.. etc. +1000!! You guys are great! This is a fantastic app
hey 172, thanks for the nice feedback we always need this kind of words to keep everyone here motivated. Speaking of Android, we are working on some really cool stuff hopefully some new features will arrive to your hand really soon and make the iPhone guys jealous
