    Hi,

I am trying to install Tapatalk for my forum www.babydaze.org.uk

the forum is on phpbb3 and i have installed mobiquo_pb30_1_1_0

I have installed the zipped files under www.babydaze.org.uk/forum/ and all I get
    is "not installed"

I have trawled through this forum looking for the answers and have tried various things
    but to no avail.

I also notice that the latest zip file has a config/ directory and not a conf/ I have renamed
    this but still nothing.

Please can someone take a look at this for me ?

    Thanks,
    Steve.

Do you have Joomla CMS installed? We currently do not support Joomla CMS but we are keen to look into it if we can make any work around.

If you feel comfortable, PM me your FTP access to /mobiquo along with a test account, we will be happy to look into it.

    Hi Winter,

    Thank you for your reply.

I doubt having joomla installed in our instance would effect this, correct me if I am wrong though :)

We do have joomla installed, but joomla is seperated from our installation of PHPBB, you can view/access our site totally without using any of our joomla installation by browsing to /forum.

    Cheers,
    Steve.

It seems something wrong with your server GZIP compression - is there anything you can check at your server side?

'Received from server invalid compressed HTTP'

    Hi,

ive checked gzip by zipping a file on the server and unzipping on another and it works okay for me doing this. Just out of interest, why are we needing compression here ?

    Thanks,
    Steve.

I think you need to take a look of your Apache Gzip setting and see if there is something wrong? it is not related to the general gzip command you use in telnet/ssh.

The compression is meant to speed up the transfer that's why reading posts in Tapatalk is much faster than on Safari.. :D

that strange. the problem is the compressed stream is not recognizable when receiving at the iPhone end. This is the first time we notice this problem.

We will keep monitoring and hopefully figure out a solution on this one.
