Just wondering how the current vbulletin 3.x owner feel about the current promotion - I believe they are asking $130 for an upgrade and you can to use it forever until you upgrade to 5.x in future. For me it seems a reasonable deal but I can see a lot of people don't like it.
Depends on the rate of the adaption we will eventually rewrite the plugin to support 4.0 - let me know how you guys feel about this new product and your time-line of upgrading. Cheers...

I'e bought the suite but I can't offer a timeline. It really depends on the how the other mods I have in place get updated. There are some my community rely on and until there are proven updates to the mods how can I move to 4.0?

I am sure the MOD will be upgraded to 4.0 when it reaches the critical mass. I also notice that vBulletin they will host some kind of contest to encourage developer to develop MOD on 4.0.

As one that also develops mods both free and paid we have seen a sharp decrease in sales as people are now on the fence about updating to 4.0 or sticking to the known 3.8.x. We are stuck right now, we want to update the 3.8 line but also need to prepare for 4.0. vB has does us developers no good turn by not letting any of us know when 4.0 might even be ready.

With the upgrade price as it is, it was a good idea to buy the suite. However it will be sometime before we move into VB4 simply because of the mods that are used in 3.8. I can't see very many sites shifting when the gold version is released (whenever that may be) simply because what they currently have works well. Mods will make a huge difference in the shift and that will take time in order to build up a base.

I too purchased the full suite upgrade to vBulletin 4.0 and look forward to continued use of TapaTalk.
I am getting more and more excited as each new TapaTalk release comes out. Can't wait for more moderation options.

We will look into vb4 as soon as we get a copy from vb.com. Any here already received an alpha version from them??

Hi. I just joined this forum. In fact, this is my first post using Tappatalk anywhere. The Mod is not even installed on our server yet. My first reaction to Tappatalk is, "Wow, this is fast!!!". I'm looking forward to using Tappatalk with my forum ASAP.
We are planning on upgrading our forum to 4.0 when it's stable.
Regards,
Dan.

Welcome onboard - we are "Tapatalk" not "Tappatalk" :D:D

I was fine with the cost and have bought the full suite, I am less impressed that the promotional pricing has been extended, I feel that this is a real kick in the nuts for those forum owners that stumped up and bought a product that still does not truly exist.
I have installed the beta of vB 4 forum, and have to say that I am not hugely impressed! I hope that they improve before the suite goes Gold!

I wasn't really impressed with what I saw once they changed over vb.com. Looks like a better them really. So I'm in no rush to buy it. I won't be swithing till tapatalk suports it anyway. So I'm not stressing it.
