Hi folks,
I installed Tapatalk at the moment on the portal I run. I do have some comments though as to the limitations of tapatalk concerning guest access and limiting the access to certain groups. I feel both these features should be available to allow admins of web sites to configure the access how they want.
An example:
You are depending on us to sell your software as if we don't install it, there's no use for your software. This is not mend to be offensive or anything but it leads me to the next points.
I as a webmaster am constantly looking to add features that are cool for my users who donate. The reason I like donations is that i hate commercials so opportunities like these give us a tool to give our supporting members and extra benefit and possibly drive in donations just like we drive in sales for you by using Tapatalk...
I read one of your comments before that it should be ok to allow guest access. I can't dissagree more. After all, you might be right we only have 5 - 10% of our members to use an iPhone, there's millions out there who now have the possibility to increase bandwidth use and so on... Yes that could lead to more people registering but the ratio at the end of the day is not in our favor as webmaster. Registrations do not trigger any income...
So I do hope you will add this kind of features. I don't want to use them as i don't want to limit anyone or force them in any way... but I'd like you folks to understand this kind of routine so these features can get proper priorities...
And do integrate the login of the webmasters with the forums. I had to register twice... :-) Nice tool, nice idea... I'm just not sure if it will bring any + to us as webmaster in the end than drive up the traffic costs even more...
