So, now that vBulletin 4 and vBulletin 4 Suite are moving along in the public eye, how much trouble should we expect to have when we upgrade? Do you anticipate that there will be a lot of core changes that will cause some rewrites or do you expect it to be a pretty straight forward upgrade for which Tapatalk (plugin) will not be largely affected?

I think it will be a partial rewrite of our plugin - it should not be a huge undertaking judging from our experience with vBulletin->phpBB3.

Are you guys already thinking of upgrading?? :)

I'm not upgrading if tapatalk doesn't support it. Peeps too used to it.

The new features of vb would have to be pretty solid.

Absolutely, as soon as it is available, I will install it. I'll also be installing the beta version as soon as it is available to the public (probably on a test server).

There are some nice new features, but the styling is what I am looking forward to. Owners can do more modifications and not have to worry so much about them getting wiped out with an update.

Great stuff - didn't have much time to look into their new feature - are they making the blog and stuffs standard? How well do they support for mobile devices in this new version?

We will look into it - but we will probably wait for at least 1 or 2 update/patch from them before we dig into it. What do you guys think?
