BlackBerry Beta-6 Released (OS 4.5-5.0)

Hi all,

We just released beta 6 for os 4.7-5.0( beta 6 for 4.5/4.6 will be released in next 24 hours).

beta 6 for 4.5/4.6 just released!

Here is major changes.
1. Private message function, you can find it in menu now!
2. improve the performance and stability on some OS.
3. fixed time-zone issue
3. improve the UI for some view.
4. Ohter mini bug fix.

I am unable to download the new file. I don't seem to be having any other issues with browsing but when I attempt to get the file for install, get a '412 precondition failed' error message.

keyboard pops up when not needed (navigating from one forum to another)

still don't see announcement/sticky threads (I can see posts to these on the first page that comes up but when going to the forum, the threads themselves do not show up.)


While I appear to be logged in, I only see the forums that are open to users not logged in.

When I use the private message menu item, i'm told i need to be logged in (I am) (this occurs on phpbb3 forums, on this one, the menu item takes me no where.)
When I try to post, i get "method: no method signature matches the number of parameters" (posting to this board works fine)

i have the new release now, working a lot faster. havent tried the private message yet.. i am still having hang up issues when attempting to post replys to threads. also one forum i frequent has the hang up issues as well.. not sure if its a forum host issue or tapatalk.

I can access reefcentral from my Storm2 with beta 6. It takes about 10-15 seconds to load, but I attribute this to the size of the forum.

phpbb3 boards,
replying to post gives a 'need login' prompt
using private message menu item gives 'please login first'


on this board,
replying gives 'loading' and never goes any further
the Private Message menu item doesn't do anything (i see a few seconds of the data transfer icon working but then it goes away)

I still get the same issue as I got with the last few versions. When I access my forum or even this forum as a guest I get in fine. When I attempt to log in with my account I get an error message that is just an "i" logo and no text. Details of phone etc in my sig.

Because there is no way to remove the details once you've tried to log in with them I have to uninstall and reinstall to get it to clear and for me to be able to log in as guest!

As a guest it seems to be running much faster though!

The performance of mine is very inconsistent. Last night I was able to log right onto www.reefcentral.com/forums, check pms, refresh, post and all and it was very fast.

This morning, I was still logged in from last night but the refresh would no longer work and I could not post. Logged out and tried to get back in and now I can't.

On verizon Storm 2, just updated to 5.0.0.607 OS.

- Can access this forum but can't post. Hangs on "loading" again (over BIS).
- PM function doesn't work, shows in menu but when I click nothing happens.

-> I can see areas that I shouldn't have access to and there are areas that I should be able to see but can't ???
-> Loads first page of topics but hangs when going to "Next 10 topics".

Ok, i spoke to one of the moderators at reefcentral and they stated that since this program defaults to open with the "Get New" function and that is currently disabled on their site it is likely the cause of the issue.

Anyway we can get this fixed?

Just confirmed this again. I was unable to login all day long. I just tried and got right in and all functions are working. Not sure why this is the case at night...

I installed this on my BB but am not able to log into my forum.. I am able to view as a guest but when I attempt to sign in it is as though it gets stuck...

Hi all,

We just replace the beta6 release for some bug fixed.

1. fix some subforum can not click
2. fix some pictures not show in thread.

For post hanging issue, we fixed some pontential cause also. But not sure we already totally avoid it, it is relate to OS, device & network. Let me know if it still boring you.

After deleted the previous build and then doing a clean install of the replacement build I can now see subscribed topics that are part of those subforums that don't show up in the list, but I can't actually open the topic itself, and when I still do the main forum list there are multiple subforums that are not displaying.

I deleted the tapatalk app from my phone and did a clean install of the April 10th update, and I am now able to load the forums at zilvia.net, and when I tried to make a reply on a topic, I got the same error message that Mr. Govi got there in my quote.

I then went to a different topic and made a reply, quite short, and it went through.

I then tried to reply to this thread via my phone, giving my findings, however, I got that same error message again.

I guess there is a problem submitting messages that are semi-long?

on my Blackberry:

under Maxima General Discussion I can't see the Useful Information and Member Rides subforums.

under the Modifications subforum I can't see Suspension, Wheels/Tires, Brakes, All Motor, Tranny Talk, Nitrous or Turbo & Supercharged subforums.

I can't see the Classifieds category at all.

I can't see the Meet/Autos category at all.

I can't see the Other catgegory at all.

Under Suggestions/Feedback/Help I can't see TEST or Site Updates subforums.


When I try to access my6thgen.org I can't view subscribed topics. And when I view latest posts if I try to access one of those latest posts I got a popup box that just has you attention signal with no text next to it (a small letter i?) Same thing with the subforums, I can list the forums and then list the subforums with the forum command but if I try to access any of them to list their topics I get you small popup dialog with the letter i but not text next to it with my only option to click on which returns me to the screen I came from.

Sporadically I can even access the my6thgen.org forum at all I'll get that same popup with your attention symbol but no accompanying text next to it letting me know what the error is.

Sporadically If I attempt to access my6thgen.org as a guest I get unepxected: StartTag <html> line: -1 attr: [dir="ltr", lang="en"] @-1:-1 or it'll connect no problem and if I try to access forums and subforums I can see the titles of the subforums but when it goes to list the actual topics I'll get the StartTag <html> line: -1 attr: [dir="ltr", lang="en"] @-1:-1 popup box error.

Yes but we plan to implement so sort of caching mechanism so it saves some loading time especially for large forum. What do you recommend?

But then I drilled down to one of the sub forums, got the thread list of that forum, tried to pull up a thread... stuck a loading again.

Another issue I've been noticing ( not sure if its been reported before ) is when I load and thread and try to go back to the previous pages I get the dreaded loading hang up... Just letting you guys know.. And this is on all forums I visit.
